NAVIGATOR BOARD:

Robin Bossert, President
Appalachian Mountain Club Leader 1996 to present, Scout Master BSA Troop 103 1997 – 2002, founded in 2003 The Navigators USA. Founded in 1988 and is President of Bossert and Company, a video production/distribution company specializing in educational and corporate communications. Member of Miramar Ski Club and Five Borough Bike Club.

Martin Smith, Vice President
Martin Smith works as an architectural designer for Fifield Piaker Elman Architects P.C. which was founded in 1984, the firm’s practice has included commercial and residential renovation, historic preservation, adaptive reuse, housing, retail, and corporate design and planning.

Martin Received a Bachelors of Architecture from Syracuse University. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America as a child and currently keeps active by hiking, camping, playing music, cooking, skiing, snowboarding, to name a few of his favorite activities.

George Dorsey, Treasurer
Presently retired and serving on several non profit boards Forty year career in property casualty insurance field in California. President, American Star Insurance Co. and Rathbone King and Seeley, Inc. (surplus lines brokerage firm). Founded Dorsey, Nevin and Associates, a claims administration firm in l996.

President and General Manager of Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc. 1992 – 1999.

Russell Williams, Secretary
Russell Williams is a career police officer with 19 years of varied experience in the NYPD. He assisted Jen Deaderick while she so ably headed the Junior Navigator program. Russell has run the Junior Navigator program for the past several years after inheriting the mantle from Ms Deaderick.

Lynn Crimando, Member, Board of Directors
Lynn Crimando is the VP, Managing Editor of the ESPN New Media Group. Crimando joined ESPN as the founding managing editor of ESPN The Magazine in 1997. Prior to joining ESPN she spent 14 years at Time Inc. – first as the Director of Operations of Sports Illustrated and for the last four years as Assistant Managing Editor of Money Magazine. Crimando received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of Detroit/ Marygrove and a master’s degree in communications from the New York Institute of Technology.

Chuck Mackenzie, Member, Board of Directors
Chuck Mackenzie is a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Global Private Client Group in Providence, Rhode Island. Prior to joining Merrill, Mackenzie practiced law for ten years in New York after serving as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator John Chafee. He graduated Cum Laude with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School.
